These terms cover the OpenSTT website and hosted services. The desktop application is distributed separately under the MIT licence, and that licence governs your use of the software itself.
The software
OpenSTT is open source. You may use, modify and redistribute it under the terms of the MIT licence included with the source. Nothing on this page restricts those rights.
Hosted services
Optional hosted transcription and sync are provided on a subscription. We may change capacity limits with notice. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.
Acceptable use
Do not use the hosted service to record people without the consent that applies where you are. Do not attempt to overload or reverse the rate limits.
Accuracy
Speech recognition makes mistakes. Check anything that matters before you rely on it. We provide no warranty of transcription accuracy for any purpose.
Liability
Provided as is, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our liability for the hosted service is capped at the fees paid in the previous twelve months.
